All learning plans or assessments start with an intake. In this one hour meeting, a specialist reviews materials and through an interview builds an overview of a learner’s profile and current needs. An Intake and written recommendations are not an assessment, nor are they intended for use by an institution for purposes of evaluating accommodations.

Tutoring

*Call your tutor directly to book your appointment(s).* Expert tutors support learning in a variety of subject areas and levels. Prior to scheduling tutoring, a DLS Intake or review of previous support documents will help determine whether content tutoring is the most effective support for a learner.

Study Hall

*Call your tutor to book an appointment(s).* Studying isn't easy and it isn't automatic, but it is a lifelong tool worth developing. A Study Hall after school can add 60-90 minutes of independent study time, guided and supported with the help of a tutor. (Students often add study hall before or after tutoring or educational therapy sessions, or around exam time for extra support.)
